Famous Quotes For Success And Why We Love Them

Freedom starts in the mind. Can you see yourself free of the confines of a job? Or are you in bondage believing that a 9 to 5 is the only way to make a living.

The educational braining washing you have received going through regular school and college can be hard to remove. Incidentally that same brain washing could be holding you back from living out a life of passion.

School gets you ready for a job. General education indoctrinates you into the masses that follow the rat race. You can fall prey to the mundane drudgery of work & home for 40 years or more and then at retirement have nothing to show for it.

Furthermore, I think quotes will make you wiser. And we should all go to bed each night a little wiser. But most won’t buy into that statement. Yet in the information age perpetual learning should drive us, because things are changing at such a rapid pace to stop learning would be the beginning of a slow death.

To stop growing is to start dying. The herd mentality is prevalent in society. Like, “nobody I know has an online business.” So because nobody you hang around with has one you come to the conclusion, they must not be worthwhile.

Then if you want results different from the masses you can’t think like the masses. Read the obvious signs in front of you and adapt. Nothing remains static. Not your business, friends, family not even your body.

You have to have the courage to go through a little uncertainty. There are seasons to everything. Life will always have its ups and downs. The perfect life doesn’t exist. Even after you’ve made all the money you want; you’ll still have problems.

  3. Hi Eric, thank you for an inspiring post. I couldn’t agree more about how quotes can lift you, not only when you’re down but they can also give you that edge that we sometimes need to excel. I have a daily quote sent through on my emails and though it may sound a little sad, I do look forward with excited anticipation, to opening it. I am a lover of analogies and cliches, so it would be natural to enjoy a good quote.

Quotes can be like ‘jokes.’ You read them, enjoy them and then if you’re lucky, you remember them. Most times we forget, that’s why I now have a folder on my desktop. Everytime I read a good quote I just save it into the folder. I always used to wonder how the ‘great’ people came up with such profound statements and secretly wished that I could come up with something original. Before you know it, I was adding some of my own to the folder.

This is an example of exactly what you were saying about how reading them can stimulate you mind. The good ones really make you think and can give you a different perspective on many things. I think we all have a few good quotes in us and maybe, if we remember them and pass them on, then someday someone will be reading one of ours.

  4. Hi, nice post! I’m a great believer in using positive language in order to achieve greatness. As well as quotes such as the ones you have featured, (I really like the Brian Tracy quote “The key to success is to focus our conscious mind on things we desire not things we fear.”) I believe affirmations to be a really powerful tool that not enough people use. When we use such positive language, we can train our brain to think good thoughts and release negative thoughts about ourselves, our future, our relationships etc. Changing thoughts can change behaviours and by exhibiting the behaviours we want, we are more able to reach the goals we are striving for.

  5. Earl Nightingale’s quote is one of my favourite and one that I constantly remind myself while getting my online business off the ground. After college, this is probably one of the most time consuming and mind-boggling project I’ve ever undertaken. Many times, I feel like throwing in the towel, but then ask “And do what? Go back to working 9-5?” Now is the time to build and to create things. Giving up is out of the question.
